Academic Programs for Every Student
Sunshine Bible Academy offers a wide array of subjects in core academic and elective areas. Whether students are college-bound or entering the workforce, our curriculum equips them for success.
Bible & Theology
The heart of an SBA education. Bible class is required at every grade level — from DeepRoots Bible (K-6) and Christian Worldview (7-8) to Old and New Testament Survey, Contemporary Culture and Worldview, and Church History and Doctrine.
Math & Sciences
A full range of math courses from Algebra I through College Algebra and Trigonometry. Science offerings include Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Anatomy — with dual-credit options for juniors and seniors.
Humanities
English Language and Literature, World History and Geography, U.S. History and Government, Economics and Personal Finance, Modern Languages, and Philosophy.
Fine Arts
Vocal and instrumental music, music theory and history, and visual art courses give students creative outlets that develop discipline, confidence, and an appreciation for beauty.
Industrial Arts & Agriscience
Building trades, woodworking, welding, small engine repair, drones, and a full agriscience program. SBA is the only Christian school in South Dakota with our own FFA chapter.
Dual Credit & College Prep
Juniors and seniors can earn college credit while still in high school, gaining a head start on their post-secondary education. Courses include College Algebra and other dual-credit offerings.

Our curriculum is based on the philosophy of Christian education that relates biblical truths to every area of learning. All of our faculty and staff are carefully selected on the basis of Christian character and academic preparation. Teachers daily represent Christ to the students, parents, relatives, friends, and community.
Knowing that the worldview of the teacher gradually shapes the view of the pupil, we insist that our teachers show evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and strive to develop their own Christian character.
Industrial Arts & Agriscience
Long before STEM became a popular acronym, SBA was offering instruction in engineering and technology. Students choose from building trades, woodworking, welding, small engine repair, and drone flight fundamentals.
Our agriscience program includes animal science, plant science, agribusiness, marketing, natural resources, and meat processing. SBA students participate in our FFA chapter — the only one hosted by a Christian school in South Dakota.

High school students interested in pursuing a college education can take dual-credit courses during their junior and senior years, earning both high school and college credit simultaneously. This gives SBA graduates a meaningful advantage when they arrive on a college campus.
